If you are a parent, coach, or elected official of a soccer/futbol club (comp or otherwise)…and you are looking for a great way to raise funds for your group, you’ve come to the right place.
I spent many years working within the wonderful American Youth Soccer Organization; in fact, I dedicated “Soccer’s Story & A Futbol Fable” to A.Y.S.O. I personally served in each of the roles covered in the opening sentence of this section and I know, from first hand experience, how difficult it was to find innovative, yet meaningful, ways to raise money for everything we needed. Car washes and bake sales were the most common methods. While each contributed dollars to our kitty (for tournament trips, trophies, etc), both were very time consuming and had no real tie-in to the activity with which we were involved.
